SMSI is pleased to add Joe Zaccaria to our team. Joe brings to SMSI more then 20 years of experience in law enforcement, crime prevention, physical security, and security design. He is a Board Certified Protection Professional. He has managed large security design, planning, and assessment projects on behalf of multi-national corporations. His work has taken him to Thailand, Malaysia, China, the Philippines, and Korea.
Joe brings expertise in the discipline known as Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). He also brings expertise in the application of security technology to solve complex security problems.
SMSI has now broadened its expertise to assess the application of CCTV, card access systems, lighting, locking systems, architectural design, and the use of barriers. SMSI has also improved its ability to apply cost efficient security solutions.
SMSI offers in-house security training aimed at eliciting the full involvement of all employees and/or tenants. SMSI can provide training for security personnel and help them to better understand how to expand their effectiveness through the use of technology.
For those clients that do not have in-house security expertise, Joe helps SMSI afford those clients the ability to deal more effectively with security vendors often resulting in the saving of thousands of dollars. SMSI is able to not only analyze security needs but additionally develop a RFP (Request For Proposal) as well as establish a competitive bid criteria.
The events of 9/11 have forever altered the way companies view their security programs. The need is greater than ever to maintain a security program that remains contemporary and flexible with the times. There is also a need to make radical and rapid adjustments when circumstances warrant.
